Engine gasket replacement
Engine seals age together, so an oil leak is rarely the only one.
Symptoms
- A leak is rarely from just one spot: several seals leak at the same time.
What's included
- We replace gaskets and seals comprehensively as required by the actual leaks: valve cover, sump, timing cover, oil-filter housing, intake manifold and coolant flanges. Before working, we locate every source rather than just the obvious one: oil from an upper seal often runs down and makes the sump appear to leak. We separately check crankcase-gas pressure: blocked ventilation forces oil past any new gasket, so without servicing it the repair is temporary.
Why it matters
Oil from an upper seal often runs down and makes it look like the pan is leaking, so every leak point is found, not just the obvious one. A clogged ventilation system forces oil through any new gasket.
More details
Engine seals age together, so a leak is rarely just one. We replace gaskets and seals comprehensively: the valve cover, the oil pan, the timing cover, the oil filter housing, the intake manifold, the water flanges — depending on what's actually leaking. Before the work we always locate every leak point, not just the obvious one: oil from an upper seal often runs down and creates the impression that the pan is leaking. We separately check the crankcase pressure — a clogged ventilation system forces oil out through any new gaskets, and without servicing it the repair will only be temporary.
