Fuel rail replacement
The fuel rail distributes fuel between the injectors and maintains operating pressure in the system.
Symptoms
- Cracks, corrosion, or a fuel leak around the fuel rail.
What's included
- It is replaced for cracks, corrosion, worn injector seats or damaged threaded connections. In Common Rail systems, the rail operates at high pressure, so any leak not only impairs engine operation but is also dangerous. We pressure-test the system, locate the leak and assess whether replacing seals and fittings is sufficient. We maintain absolute cleanliness in the lines and replace high-pressure pipes wherever the manufacturer prohibits reuse.
Additional checks
- Injector seats and threaded connections — inspected for wear and damage
- System under pressure — tested to locate the leak and assess the scope of repair
- High-pressure pipes — assessed for replacement where the manufacturer prohibits reuse
Why it matters
In Common Rail systems the rail operates under high pressure, so any leak here is dangerous, not just a performance issue. Absolute cleanliness of the lines is maintained throughout the work.
