Throttle body cleaning
Over time, oily carbon deposits build up on the throttle plate and inside its housing; they are carried by crankcase gases and the recirculation system.

- The passage narrows, the throttle no longer closes tightly, and the engine receives the wrong amount of air: idle speed becomes unstable, revs hang when the accelerator is released, and jerks appear at low speed. We remove or partly dismantle the unit and clean the deposits with a compound that is safe for the coating; aggressive chemicals strip the factory coating and make the situation worse. Throttle adaptation is required after cleaning, otherwise the control unit continues to use the old values and the symptoms return.
