Intake, exhaust and sensors

Intake, exhaust and sensor checks as part of vehicle diagnostics.

Removed intake manifold with carbon build-up and MAF sensor

Intake, exhaust and sensor systems connect airflow and exhaust movement with engine control. Leaks, deposits or an incorrect signal can alter operation, often producing overlapping symptoms. This area distinguishes a physical flow restriction from a measurement or control fault before cleaning or component replacement is selected.

We assess the complaint alongside accessible passages, connections and relevant signals. A sensor fault message does not prove the sensor itself has failed: its reading may reflect a genuine deviation elsewhere. Findings define the scope and any relationship to fuel delivery or boost. Work should retain the vehicle's intended control and exhaust-treatment functions rather than conceal a fault by disabling them.

Intake manifold replacement

Service area

Intake manifold replacement

The intake manifold distributes air between the cylinders.

Exhaust manifold replacement

Service area

Exhaust manifold replacement

The exhaust manifold operates at very high temperatures, so cracks develop over time and its studs seize and break.

Manifold gasket replacement

Service area

Manifold gasket replacement

A burnt manifold gasket is a common and underestimated fault.

Engine sensor replacement

Service area

Engine sensor replacement

The engine is controlled by a unit that relies on readings from dozens of sensors.

More Details
Oxygen sensor replacement

Service area

Oxygen sensor replacement

A lambda sensor measures residual oxygen in the exhaust and lets the control unit meter fuel accurately.

More Details
MAF sensor replacement

Service area

MAF sensor replacement

The mass airflow sensor tells the control unit how much air enters the engine.

MAP sensor replacement

Service area

MAP sensor replacement

A manifold absolute-pressure sensor measures intake-manifold vacuum and, on turbocharged engines, boost pressure.

More Details
Crankshaft position sensor replacement

Service area

Crankshaft position sensor replacement

The crankshaft-position sensor is one of the few sensors without whose signal the engine simply will not start.

More Details
Camshaft position sensor replacement

Service area

Camshaft position sensor replacement

The camshaft-position sensor tells the control unit the engine phase; without it, accurate injection and ignition are impossible.

More Details
Knock sensor replacement

Service area

Knock sensor replacement

The knock sensor detects micro-detonations in the cylinders and lets the control unit reduce ignition advance in time.
