Bench Flushing of A/C System
A/C flushing is considered when contamination remains after a component failure or another system fault. Its scope depends on the condition of the circuit and which components can be cleaned. Not every part is flushable: the compressor, drier and metering components require separate treatment, while some heat exchangers need replacement. We agree on included and excluded sections before work starts. Afterwards, residual flushing agent removal and preparation for assembly are checked. Cleaning does not replace correcting the original cause of failure.
What's included
- Assess contamination and component suitability for flushing.
- Isolate components that must not be flushed.
- Flush the agreed sections using a compatible method.
- Check removal of residual agent and readiness for assembly.
