A/C Pipe Valve Core Replacement (Empty System)
The service port valve core seals the connection used to maintain the A/C circuit. Damage or contamination around its seat can cause a leak. This service applies to an empty system, but pressure absence is still verified before dismantling. We inspect the port and cap, fit a compatible valve core and check the seal. If the port body itself is damaged, replacing the internal core will not be enough. Whole-circuit testing and subsequent recharging are discussed as related work.
Symptoms
- A confirmed leak through the service port.
What's included
- Confirm that no pressure remains before opening the port.
- Inspect the port body, seat and cap.
- Replace the valve core with a system-compatible part.
- Check the port and agree on further circuit testing.
