Brake Disc Wear Measurement

A lip at the edge of a brake disc indicates wear but does not establish whether the disc remains serviceable. We measure thickness across the working area and compare it with the requirements for that disc. Surface checks also cover cracks, grooves and uneven pad contact. Where vibration is reported, a separate runout check may be needed; thickness measurement does not replace it. You receive the measured findings and a clear basis for maintenance decisions rather than a replacement recommendation based only on the edge lip.
