Wheel Brake Cylinder Replacement
A drum brake wheel cylinder pushes the shoes apart under hydraulic pressure. Leaking seals contaminate the mechanism with fluid, while seized pistons can prevent even shoe movement. We open the drum and inspect the linings, springs and supply pipe before replacement. Contaminated friction parts need a separate assessment because a new cylinder will not restore their properties. After fitting, we bleed the circuit, adjust the mechanism as required and check for leakage under load.
