Window Regulator Motor Replacement
The window motor moves the glass through a cable or arm mechanism. Failure to move can involve the switch, wiring, jammed guides or the drive itself. Before replacement, we check control inputs and mechanical resistance so a new motor is not fitted to a faulty mechanism. During access, the glass is protected and the door's moisture barriers are restored. After assembly, we check travel and end positions, with automatic function learning carried out where the vehicle requires it.
Symptoms
- The window does not move despite correct supply and control.
- Movement stops intermittently due to a confirmed motor fault.
What's included
- Check controls and window regulator condition.
- Access the motor while protecting the glass and trim.
- Replace the motor and restore the door protection.
- Check travel and initialise functions where required.
