Wiper Motor Replacement
The wiper motor moves the blades through a linkage or another drive arrangement. Stopped or slow-moving wipers can result from a seized linkage, supply fault or control issue as well as the motor itself. We check these areas before replacement so the new motor is not subjected to the same overload. Installation must align the drive with the blades' parked position. After assembly, we check the available modes, parking and clearance between the blades and bodywork.
Symptoms
- The wipers do not move despite a correct power supply.
- Intermittent operation or incorrect wiper parking.
What's included
- Check motor supply and linkage movement.
- Remove the drive and record its initial alignment.
- Fit the motor with the correct parked alignment.
- Check wiper modes and parking.
