Bushing & bearing pressing
Pressing is a separate service for customers who bring a removed control arm, beam or subframe.
Symptoms
- A control arm, beam, or subframe arrives already off the car and needs new parts pressed in.
What's included
- We use a hydraulic press to install and remove suspension bushes, bearings and other components, selecting adapters for each part. This is essential: a misaligned bush works in shear and soon tears, while hammer blows damage bearing raceways before their first rotation. We inspect the seat before working: a damaged bore will not hold a new part, and we explain this plainly. We accept both individual parts and complete assemblies.
Additional checks
- Condition of the seat for the part
- Selecting the adapter to match the part's size and type
Why it matters
A bushing installed crooked works under shear and tears within a few thousand kilometers, and a bearing knocked in with a hammer gets damaged raceways before it even turns once.
More details
Pressing is a standalone service for those who bring in a control arm, beam, or subframe already removed. We press in and press out bushings, bearings, sleeves, and other components on a hydraulic press using mandrels matched to the specific part. This matters fundamentally: a bushing installed at an angle works under shear and tears within a few thousand kilometers, and a bearing knocked in with a hammer gets its raceways damaged before its very first rotation. Before starting we inspect the mounting bore — a worn-out bore won't hold a new part securely, and we'll tell you that honestly. We accept both individual parts and complete assemblies.
